I'm always amazed at the wonderful planet we live on and the Universe it resides in. What amazes me more is that the beings on it consider themselves above all else to be civilized as opposed to uncivilized. Yet, as an artist of many styles and possibilities I am classified as Selt-taught Visionary because I was was born with natural talent. I was once called a Primitive artist by degreed associates. And the reason, I never had a formal art education (Except for one really excellent high school art teacher who taught me the fundamentals of art.) at any established institution that bestowed upon the recipient a degree of intelligent expectation that would be recognized in the Art World as a true artist of value. I was born. And at that with talents and gifts just like any other person. Sounds snobbish I know but now that I am older I have met many artists like myself who boast that no formal art was given or taken yet they are most expressive in their works and know no bounds of social restrictions. At the very early age of five I recognized that I was good, even better than most of my fellow classmates and I detested coloring books that made you stay in the lines. I still do! I am an "out-of-the-box" artist and given to inspiration on the spot. My Muses are my guides and together we flow as one, which is amazing as I must admit that when I finish a piece I wonder "Did I really do that?" I enjoy what I create and the process in which it develops. My intent is to illuminate Universal truths so that viewers "see" with their own eyes what is and import within emotions that stir the mind of soul and spirit. Reality is spirit, spirit is reality as I see it. In the Circle of Life we cannot just be recipients, we must also be participants. So I share with you my participation in the Cosmos and hope you find pleasures and inspiration for your own life. Do not be judgmental, remember for not all things are for everyone. Treat your visit as an exploration with intent. Shalom

As a past Agora Gallery client I have been presented as a self taught artist in her own right contrary to what I stated above. I am now condsiered one of many fine contemoporary artists in the gallery. I, also wish to give thanks to my very dear and beloved friend, Phyllis Schlemmer who passed almost four years ago because she kept telling me I was a good artist and should pursue an art career. I am following your suggestion, Phyllis and with your guidence and those I call Muse hope to fulfill my goals as one of Earth's visionaries.

Additional Statement and concept of my work. 6-7-13

I enjoy what I create and the process in which it develops. My intent is to illuminate Universal truths so that viewers take in concepts that stir the mind of soul and spirit to bring awareness of being participants in the World Community. I strive to bring into consciousness understandings that make a difference in living through interesting subject matter that reflects not only the hard challenges of life but its beauty as evidenced in the nature of things. I use a variety of medias to express universal spirituality as seen from the other side of reality. I visualize the finished work through the inspirations of my Muses before I put the brush to the paint. I like to build into my work an infrastructure that is the framework of the theory that makes it real to give it sustainability. I am often amazed at the results. Some of my art is accompanied with an expose statement as part of the whole presentation. My intent is not only to visualize but to communicate a profound thought in writing as well as painting. I have found over the years that people need to be able to understand concepts to connect to the visual. It is my mission to make this a clear transition.
